Greetings… I’d like to apologize for my hiatus from writing for the Acreage Blog, but the SVN Land Group has been focused on finding land over the last few months.

The changing of the seasons from Summer to Fall is my favorite time of year as the landscape is simply teaming with activity from combines, deer hunters, duck boats and don’t forget the long Sunday country drives.  This blog has taught me how challenging it is each week to share something interesting or insightful, and I envision making this blog more interactive.

To that point, I am going to turn to each of you for the next eight weeks of 2015 and ask for you to submit a land picture you take from your duck blind, combine, deer stand or car window as you wander around the Delmarva.  The vision for each picture is to capture a unique moment or aspect of our amazing landscape around the Eastern Shore.  The basic qualifier of the photograph is for it to be land oriented and something you wish to share.

Each Monday we will send out a reminder and request to have all submissions in by Thursday at 5pm as the selection will be made by group consensus within the SVN Land Group and then posted with your description on Friday via our social media network at SVN-Miller Commercial Real Estate. If selected, you will receive a Gander Mountain Gift Card for $25 and be entered into our grand prize award of $250 at Gander Mountain to be awarded in January of 2016.

The SVN Land Group is excited about this opportunity to see your photography around the Eastern Shore each week and to share it with our readers.  Please submit your picture along with your name, phone number, email and mailing address to Nicole Abresch at
